September
The USA-UK Saddlebred of Britain titles were contested at the Royal London Show. Even Worse (owned by Lynn Herd) won both the coveted in hand and the ridden Saddlebred titles. In addition he took the Reserve Coloured In Hand Championships. Sassy Lass Royale (owned by Paula Thomas) took the reserve spot in the in hand section and was well placed in the In Hand Concours D'Elegance class. Spellbound Reiver (owned by Donna-Marie Britton) took the reserve title in the ridden section and also the reserve in the ridden Concours D'Elegance class. Congratulations to all 7 Saddlebreds that were competing at this event.
At the CHAPS-UK Championship at the beginning of September the stallion Even Worse took both his classes and then the Championship with Incandescent Flame (owned by Performance Arabians) taking the Reserve spot.
August
Congratulations to all our pinto Saddlebreds. At the BSPA World Championship of Colour at the end of August the youngster Even Better Than Worse (owned by Lynn Herd) took her class and then the Saddlebred Championships, with the NSH Sassy Lass Royale taking Reserve. The ridden class also saw a NSH at the top of the class, Commanche Deuce (owned by Dave Whittard - see photo below, courtesy www.horsepower-photography.com).
July
Another European Championship Show has been and gone - on July 1st, Canada Day, which was fitting as our judge, David Brent, is from Canada. Well done to everyone who took part including the following Saddlebreds: Even Worse, Sassy Lass Royale, Spellbound Reiver, Oakhill's Fallen Angel (owned by Samantha Hullis), Parkland Aragorn (owned by Eleanor Hullis), Tawna Jitterbug (owned by Britt Horrocks), One Knight Of Fame (owned by Lynn Herd), Meridian X-Tra Pizzazz (owned by Dorothy hasty), Meridian A Touch Of Genius (owned by Dorothy Hasty), Shez Cadiallac Style (owned by Lynn Herd) and Spellbound Color Kaz (owned by Rosemary Jinks & Fred Perry). Oakhill's Fallen Angel was our Performance Champion for the second year running - amazing for a 22 year old!
June
Congratulations to the following Saddlebred winners at the BMHS Spring Show held 2nd June - Even Better Than Worse (see photo below, far left), Shez Cadillac Style (see photo below, middle left) and Spellbound Reiver (see photo below, middle right). Spellbound Reiver took the Saddlebred Performance Championship and Meridian X-Tra Pizzazz (see photo below, far right) the Reserve.
Well done to the two Saddlebreds Shez Cadillac Style and Appledore Fandango (owned by Paula Thomas) as the first two Saddlebreds to qualify for the British ASB Championships being held at the Royal London Show this September.

Congratulations to the British Team at the 2006 Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup, held 6th-10th December at Parys, South Africa. Highest scoring rider on the British Team was USA-UK member Eleanor Hullis - well done!
